why cant he eat broccoli

so this 27 year old guy told me the doc said he cant eat broccoli..forgot to ask why but made me wonder why would a doc ever say not to eat something so healthy?

There could be any number of reasons why a doctor would tell someone not to eat broccoli. It could be that it causes him to have indigestion - broccoli causes some people to have painful gas, or maybe he’s sensitive to any foods in the cabbage family.

One of my high school teacher’s husbands couldn’t eat broccoli because it gave him migraines. There could be a number of reasons to explain why his doctor advised him not to eat it.
