what should I expect during labor?
I definately reccommend reading the book "what to expect when youre expecting" it was so helpful in explaining the process step by step and it really put me at ease to know what was going on/what could happen. my advice is to research childbirth. watch videos if you can! it really can be scary so the more you know going into it, the less panicked you feel. no 2 births are alike, there are so many different ways it can go. my own experience went like this: I had my membranes stripped 2 days before my due date. I started to lose pieces of my mucus plug that night, spent the next day experiencing cramps, but not actual contractions until night time. when your contractions come at steady 3-4 minutes apart, with increasing pain, or your water breaks, get your butt to the hospital and get an epidural. a huge huge help for me was the message boards on webmd.com where you can talk to other pregnant girls and ask questions I totally reccommend checking that out and definately read up! good luck to you
