How long after labor will things go back to "normal"?

I’m 22 weeks pregnant, and i’m wondering, how long after labor can you go back to your regular routine? (Peeing without the burning, Intimacy) My OB says wait 6 weeks, but I know some people that was able to pee without the burning after the first few days, and get back to intimacy as soon as 3 weeks. (I guess some people don’t bleed for the whole 6 weeks?) I really wanna know real peoples opinions, not what my OB is paid to say..:P

It depends on the patient’s health. If it the child birth was via a surgery, it will take longer time and if it was a normal birth, life will be normal in a short period of time.

If you have an Episiotomy - expect six weeks until you’re feeling normal again … no Episiotomy - about 2 weeks is normal.
