Which dog food is best?

I need to know if you know for sure that Cesar canine cusine wet dog food is okay to feed my puppy healthwise she’s a 3 month old yorkinese. The breeder had her on kirkland signiture brand dry food but I read it was BAD for her.I also give her Purina beneful healthy weight.Do you know if these are good brands?I also buy her organic puppy food called Wenaewe.I mix all three of these together and that’s what she eats.I also bake her peanutbutter dog biscuts from a dog cook book called Yummy for dogs by:Veronica Noechel. Is this healthy for her?

All these brands of dog food sound nuitricious and, I’m not sure about the Peanut Butter biscuts. But, I’d say those brands of dog food is alright.

Answer #3

So the kirkland food is good? I just didn’t want to put her on it b/c it was on the danger list for the poisioned dog food.I’ll put her back on that and mix it with Nutro thanks.I only give her like teaspons of canned food each day mixed w/her dy food.

Answer #4

No it dosen’t take very long to order : ) Usually 2-3 days and I order before I run out.

Answer #5

I order Wenaewe online and I kinda thought the other two wern’t as good as they could be.I’ll look for these better foods at my local pet store.Or organic pet supply.

Answer #6

Why did my dog food question go under love and relationships?

Answer #7

Kirklands was on the danger list when Diamond Foods had “their problem”…They weren’t involved in the Chinese thing (when 3/4 of the canned and soft foods contained that chemical)…Diamond Foods, paid people without a whimper, and truly seemed to care that their quality control on the eastern part of the US failed them.

You’re on the West coast…none of us on this side of the Mississippi were affected by the Diamond plant that had the control failure…The Diamond products we get on this side comes from Denver or Texas, I can’t remember…Diamond is who manufactures Costco’s Kirkland Signature foods…

I’ll see if I can find that list on the internet, that has all dog foods rated and “graded”…and funmail the link to ya…

The Kirkland Signature Food, is VERY high quality food…there are many good brands of kibble to choose from…Canned food is nice for a treat, but I wouldn’t feed it exclusively…and Benefull is probably at the bottom of the list of good foods.

Diamond Foods, Canidae, California Naturals…even Nutro is better than “grocery store” brands. The way to tell, is looking at the list of ingredients…they are listed in order of “amounts” in the food. The first TWO should be meat sources. You also want to avoid foods with corn, wheat and soy products in them.

Buying quality dogfood for a dog as small as yours, would probably cost you $1.00 a week more…but save you in vet bills down the road.

Answer #9

I’ve never heard of wenaewe, but the other brands you mention are not high quality dog foods. Some of the better brands to look for are Wellness, Canidae, Eagle Pack, Timberwolf, Innova, Newman’s Own. The ones that have mostly meat in the first few ingredients, no byproducts, and no wheat, soy, or corn are usually the best. You normally have to go to a pet store to find high quality foods, although there are some grocery stores now, especially natural ones, that are starting to get a few higher quality foods.
