Why don't diets work?

I wana l00se weight, im so stressed, do you think having “snacks” like 100 calorie packs and granola bars are a healthy way to loose weight, or do you perfer vegies and a yougurt or apple, what do you think???

the healthiest way to loose weight is to just not eat sweets and stick with healthy things (veggies, fruits, whole grains, low fat dairy products). eat until you’re full, but not TOO full, and don’t starve yourself. I find that if you workout once a day for an hour or so along with changing your diet, you loose weight really fast.

Diets usually do not work because of the person who is on that diet stops the diet for a while (which is usually very quickly), and then he or she continues to do what they did before.
Also, some diets do not work because they cause your body to go in what is called “starvation mode”. Your body has this mode incase you are found in a period of time with scarce food. By doing this, your body holds on to every single fat cell until each and every one of them is digested over a long period of time. which means you keep the same weight until you become anorexic…WHICH IS NOT THE WAY TO GO.

Do a sensible mix. Fresh fruits and veggies are always good. Try to steer away from high calorie items. Don’t get draconian, but start making wiser choices. Clear soup over cream soups. Ice tea instead of soda. Baked chicken/fish instead of fried. Lemon or lemon-pepper on cooked veggies instead of butter. 2% milk instead of whole milk. Lots of small changes can bring about a new way of looking at what you eat, a life style change that may stick with you for life. Good Luck!!

put your self on a 1500 cal. diet, and work out for an hour 4 to 5 days a week, you’ll see the results fast.
