Dealing with boyfriends depression and home sickness...

My boyfriend is a Marine who is currently deployed. This morning while I was talking to him he started to tell me how lonely he was lately and you could tell that he’s really depressed and home sick. I tried my best to comfort him for as long as I could before I had to leave for work. I asked him if he was going to be okay while I was gone today and he said “No, who cares anyways”. I took this all pretty hard because I hate seeing him like this and I’m not sure what to do to help him.

Any ideas… I know this is going to happen a lot within the next three years.

nothing you can do except to tell him to speak to a therapist there. I was in the marines and it helped significantly and it can help him too if he chooses to help himself.
