Crowntail betta tank info.

I have a male crowntail betta. I was wandering why he keeps producing like little bubles on one side of the tank, they build up. I’ve cleaned the tank and I still don’t understand.

Answer #1

The betta is exhibiting that he is wanting a mate. He is building a nest for eggs to go in. Get a female or just ignore bubbles. He will only do this for a couple of weeks every two or three months.

Answer #2

I may be wrong but I think he is nest building.

Answer #3

yes the male betta’s usually build a “ bubble nest” every couple of months. this is perfectly normal and should not be tampered with. if tampered with it will cause the male betta to feel uneased and not at home, thus causing him to be unhappy and not eat. the bubble nest that a male betta creates is for many reasons, most believe for a females eggs but this is only true if a female betta is present. if no female betta is present than they usually build a bubble nest because they are happy and they see it as fun!!:-)
