How to breed betta fish?

I have two betta fish and they are both male. I was told that the way of knowing when they are ready for breeding is they will start to make bubbles unti the surface of the water is covered in them. I would like to know once I put a female in the tank how log should I keep her there for without any of them getting hurt?

Answer #1

hmmm the two males are going to fight over her yeas but you could just get a tank devider put it right in the middle of the tank have one male on each side and place the female on one side for as long as you please then put her in the other side I think… im no expert

Answer #2

I would get a smaller aquarium for the female and transfer one male to her place. if they do not breed put the other one in but take the first male out first. they WILL fight over the female and this could result in the death of one or both of your beta fish.
