Whats wrong with my betta?

I noticed today that my betta was actually normal, staying at the bottom of the tank and slowly moving around. since then i have cleaned the bowl since it was diryty. I did also notice that my bettas left side was swollen our puffed out more then the other side. I wasnt sure if my betta is sick due to the dirty bowl???

Hi,

Betta fish are known to “puff-out” when aggravated. When this happens their gills and fins puff out to appear more impressive. Perhaps cleaning his cage aggravated him? If he is still acting abnormal in a couple days, I would call a vet and see if they know anything.
