When counting calories, would I subtract the amount of calories I burn from the amount I consume before I get my total calories for a day?

Say i wanted to eat a total of 1200calories a day and ive consumed 900calories so far but burned 500calories would i i have to eat 300 more calories or 600 more to get to the total of 1200? I don’t want to be under eating

Answer #1

You would eat 300 more calories. Even though you burned off 500 you’re still consuming the calories you’d eat….At least that is how I was taught. :p Hope this helped!

Answer #2

It’s very hard to calculate exact calorie intake and it’s hard to keep track of it all. Are you trying to loose weight, gain weight, or tone? 1200 calories is a nice healthy intake for a woman your age. As long as you are eating the right amount of nutritious food at each meal, and you aren’t skipping meals or over-eating until you feel bloated, you’ll be fine. Make sure you balance your diet and exercise within reason there is really no need to count calories.

Answer #3

well i’m counting them because i have a bad habit of under eating even when i am overestimating the calories on the foods i am eating
