What is the best cost effective, but still good educating homeschool curriculum?

Okay, now PLEASE don’t inflict your views on me as I won’t do that to you, but first I do Christian work, but I’m not a Christian anymore.. it’s the A.C.E. curriculum. I don’t want to work in it anymore, I don’t want to read anymore about the Bible, I don’t want to hear any of it, but that’s not the main problem.. The main problem is I feel dumbed down by it and I don’t feel I’m getting the education I should. Money’s tight too so we can’t really afford many or much of them.. I’m only working in Math now. So I need this answered urgently. I want to have a career in computer programming, and I also want to have a video game developed and to work on it, and I don’t want for my dreams to fail.. My family has a bad history of not being successful (one side at least), and I want to break that line. I don’t want to work at a dead end job, y’know, sweeping the floors at a Burger King or being a dishwasher or something. :(

Answer #3

Used books and DVDs? Where am I gonna find used books? Especially considering the fact I live in such a small town.

Answer #4

We use The Calvert School curriculum to homeschool our daughter. It seems to be very thorough and well thought out and is secular. This is only K-8 though I understand they are developing a high school curriculum.

Answer #5

I hope it’s developed soon, because I’m apparently at 10th grade learning level. God knows if that’s true or not though..
