Come on people,Is there really a wrong theory?

My question to all you out there is “ why is it so important for people to bash one religious/spiritual theory about what happens after death just to justify there own belief? Is it just me or is everyone missing the bigger picture here, because in my own personal opinion no one knows what happens when you die except for the dead ( As well as NDE) in turn doesnt that make the different beliefs of the world all theories and NOT necessarily correct? And if so, who’s to say whats wrong or whats right?

I think the bigger issue has an example above: someone said “there is a god and you shud respect him”. If someone told me that as flat out fact, I’d outline exactly why I’m an atheist. The phrase that seems to be missing now is “my personal belief is…”

Sorry, but if someone comes in and tells me “God is real and you need to respect him!”, I’m not just going to agree with them. I’m more likely to tell them where to get off.

as simple as that. the bible says what is wrong and what is right. whats correct, incorrect, forbidden, unknown, and what we can know.

It also condemns certain people to death, including homosexuals, and children who hit their parents are to be killed promptly (Exodus 21:15). I dunno about you, but by my moral compass, that book doesn’t sound like one I wanna live my life by.

* no one knows what happens when you die except for the dead

Well, we know that the brain is the source of consciousness, and we know the brain quits working when you die, so…I think we do actually know what happens when you die.

The problem is, people don’t like the obvious conclusion that death is the permanent end of life…it’s scary, so they make up all kinds of ‘theories’ to make that fear go away. These are not actually theories, though, since there is no rational basis for them.

We can forgive the ancients for not realizing the brain is the source of consciousness, but in the modern world, it’s just simple denial.

NDE is Near Death Experiance, “(By the way, Jimahl has a point, Sativasuncloud2012).” Well so does everyone else..

Answer #4

When people stop telling “there is a god and you shud respect him” is when I will stop giving my opinion about some mythical being who created the world. I don’t care what you believe, as long as it isn’t being directed at me. And I also have no tolerance for the morons who deny evolution, or who think stem cell research is wrong, or who want to deny gays their civil rights, all in the name of their religious fantasies.

Answer #5

I do not think its write to bash any ones beliefs for any reason. Your right its wrong to. There is no reason ever you should do that, and that is one of the main reasons people get hurt over religion so often because of hatred like that. If your interested I have had a few NDE’s. I have never heard that term before, the longest my heart and lungs have stopped working is 3 minutes.

Answer #6

Answer #7

the bible.

as simple as that. the bible says what is wrong and what is right. whats correct, incorrect, forbidden, unknown, and what we can know.

and no there isnt any wrong theories..UNLESS its PROVEN wrong. bc if there were all wrong what would be the point of coming up with a theory at all?
