Is this really a good theory?

It’s more than theory, it’s pretty much fact. Modern Christianity is a blend of pre-Nicene Christianity with Roman paganism, specifically, Solar worship.

Pre-Nicene Christianity was a blend of pre-Christian Judaism with Roman paganism, which included Egyptian ideas. The early depictions of Mary with Baby Jesus are indistinguishable from the depictions of Baby Horus and Isis from the same time period. Satan = Pan. Depictions of Jesus = depictions of the wine god Bacchus, etc. The halo found in early Christian art is the rays of the sun - they didn’t even bother to change the name of that one!

Going back further, pre-Christian Judaism was rooted in Samarian polytheism, and influence heavily later on by Greek/Roman polytheism (which also grew out of Samarian polytheism).

Well, Christian scholars sometimes notice that pre-Christian societies contain elements which seem to ‘prepare’ them for hearing the Good News - for example St Patrick arrived in Ireland and found that the notion of a three-in-one god was not strange to them. They found it quite an easy idea to handle (and the symbol he used of the shamrock for the Trinity made it even easier).

So sometimes things like you have noticed do seem to happen - earlier religions infuence the Bible (especially Old Testament Judaism influencing the New Testament, obviously) or other people just seem to have caught a glimpse of God even before they officially heard the Gospel.

You should look up unitarianism or universalism. It has a lot about the similarities between different religions. That way you can continue thinking off their theories. I think there was a scientist who said something about he only saw far because he stood on the shoulders of giants. Haha, but who knows?

You’re close to how the orinal “one & only God” the orinal “1 & only” true god was made by an egyptain guy when he decided to combine all the Gods into one & call it the one & only true god, then it just went from there as you can see.
