how do you get rid of the cat pee smell when it’s already dried in?! we are considering moving into a house, and the carpet wreaks of cat spray..thanks.

You can try buying some spray called Febreeze that works good when it comes to covering up odors. You can spray it on furniture, the floor, the curtains… anywhere that smells. It comes in a lot of different scents too. There’s carpet foam stuff you can buy to spray on your floors too. It’s just for pet smells. All you do is spray it and let it soak in. There’s stuff to sprinkle on the carpet too that you vacuum up. Or, if this doesn’t work or if the smell is too bad, I’d say just go ahead and replace the carpet.

In my experience there is no way to completely eliminate cat urine odor without replacing the carpet and pad. Other than replacement your best bet is enzyme cleaners.
