Getting rid of mice smell in our home.

Mice invaded our home while we were on vacation and ate their way through a 50 pound bag of bird seed which we had forgotten to put in a metal can before we left. There was bird seed everywhere throughout the house and we still can’t get rid of the smell of the mice. Can anyone help? Thanks.

Clean up all sources of mouse food and set snap traps and glue boards to make sure they are gone. The smell is mostly urine. You will have to scrub down, launder, or throw out everything. If you can’t, you can spread deodorizers. Baking powder and dry used coffee grounds can be scattered and then vacuumed and tossed. Charcoal briquettes can be put around to help absorb the odor, also. Don’t forget to air out you place as much as you can.

Good Luck!!
