Something like that happened to me. Except it was most of my left leg and hip that hurt. I couldn’t walk for three weeks. The doctor said it was tendonitis so she put me on meds and I was up and walking in three days. So I say go to the doctor, tell them whats going on, and get it over with.

First off all, this is a dumb question but are you completely sure that the pain is from your hip? Sometimes when you are exercising too hard or you don’t warm up properly you get a pain in your side very close to the hip- a side-stitch is what they call it…If you think that might be the reason you should stretch before you start exercising because I always get pains in my side as well! You should be stretching your legs, doing Push-ups, sit-ups, leg-lifts, jumping jacks etc…It will only take about 5-10 minutes! If the problem is not a pain in your side you need to keep putting ice on it, and you should rest until you can go to the doctor so they can look at it. Good Luck! ;) Emily
