Answer #1

okay. as you already know there are! in fact other books that were taken out of the bible from the beginning. the reason for this is simple. those books and scriptures made jesus seem more human than godly.

have you ever watched the da vinci code? don’t think the movie is completely fictitious. it’s more logical than religion and haha! they got so mad because of that movie! lol! but yeah. seriously. there are definately facts in there. one way or another.

There were many other gospels that were not included in the final edited version of the new testament. Probably because they didn’t quite support the myth of christ that constantine was creating. Most likely, they did not support the idea of christ’s divinity.

IF Judas didnt betray Jesus then he would not have been crucified for us to save us from our sins, it was all planned from the start for Judas to betray Jesus!

Answer #5

Why would there be one?

Answer #6

Early Christianity was about as diverse as modern Christianity. The New Testament was not a consolidation of all available texts for all the sects, but instead, was the compilation of the sect which came to be known as Catholicism.

Imagine if there were no New Testament at all today, but instead, every religious book in the library was available for the canon. Would the Baptists declare all such books ‘canon’?

Answer #7

It’s not included in the bible because it’s a ‘Gnostic’ gospel - one of the ones that wasn’t selected by the council of Nicea for inclusion in the bible.

As far as Judas being a “selfish coward who betrayed Jesus”, it’s hard to blame him, given that, according to the bible, the betrayal was a necessary part of the whole thing, without which the much-celebrated conclusion of the new testament wouldn’t have come about. And indeed, that’s pretty much what the gospel of Judas says - even indicating that Jesus explicitly asked Judas to betray him.
