Why would anybody make a big deal about Edgar Allan Poe marrying his cousin Virginia?
I mean, I think nobody knew about it at that time even if she was underage, because it could never have done that now with the paparazzies and the laws. What do you think? Tell me please thank you. By the way Poe rules.
I think it’s because back in the olden days it wasn’t so wrong to marry a cousin, it was more of a normal thing for people. But now people think its gross because it’s a family member.
And I love Poe too <3
I think everyone then knew that she was his underaged cousin, the aunt was down with it, it’s just a different time period now.
