Is anybody a big world literature person?

the past couple of months I had to read three books for my world literature class. I read crime and punishment, albert camus’ the stranger, and the death of ivan illych. now, I have to write a paper comparing the way the authors think, using the three books as my evidence, I guess. I didn’t really understand crime and punishment, so I’m having a hard time finding something they all have in common. if anyone can help me, I’d be so thankful.

I did find a site that might help.. its the summary of the book itself, as well as a summary of each chapter.. thought it may be helpful.
