How to treat a belly button infection?

I agree with lostlovefoundhere, also if you for what ever reason can’t get ot the doctors, go to the parlour where you got it pierced, and ask them about it, they’ll probably take a look and be ale to give you good advice, but if it does get too bad, painful, sore or whatever symptom you may get, take it out, it’s not worth suffering over, and you could always get it done again eventualy, but leave time for it to recover from the injection and let the original piercing heal over (: hope it gets better, erin x

under no circumstances do you take the piercing out. if you have an infection, bathe it with the solution you should have been given/purchased when you got the piercing done, and if not use salt water.

if the solution contains alcohol it is better for the infection but it WILL burn as you apply it.

do NOT play with it. do NOT touch it unless you have washed your hands.

and I repeat, do NOT under any circumstances try to remove the bar. first of all it will hurt like hell and the pain will make you want to throw up, and secondly if you have an infection then if you remove the bar the piercing is far more likely to heal over quickly. if this happens, the infection gets sealed in to the area of skin the bar was placed under, and an abscess forms. this is much more painful than the original piercing, and may involve surgery to remove it.

Just clean it once or twice everyday and don’t play with it a lot and it should go away.
