well first off you will have to get her food that is specially made for pregnant females that will help with the unborn pups and lactation uhm also make sure she does not run and jump a lot because that can be bad for the pups and well just give her lots of love and attention and she will be one happy momma lol. also a few days before she gives birth you will be able to feel the pups moving in her belly and you will be able to see them moving as well so thats a sign you ight want to look out for so you can be ready for her pups. also when shes giving birth to make her feel better sit next to her and pat her head and say its ok and make sure theres not a lot of people there just you and a friend will be fine just in case you need help with the pups!! well hope I helped if you need any more help let me know ok!! :)

The same as any other pregnant dog…make sure she has plenty of GOOD nutritious food, plenty of water…Bassetts aren’t known for having difficulty whelping…When she does go into labor…have a nest ready and waiting inside, where it’s warm…keep an eye on her, but don’t get scared if it takes a while. First litters take time…she’ll probably be fine.
