How can I get my Basset Hound to obey me?

I have a bassit hound and she is one and a half years old. She is extremly hard to train, and sometimes even ignores her name when shes called (unless her name is followed by wanna cookie?!) The thing is .is she listens to my boyfriend, and does what he says. How can I get her to obey me, and be good for me?

My advice is basset’s are stubborn but at the same time they enjoy a challange and are very intelligent. Though they are food motivated and slow moving they also are lovers of walks and a good belly rub. I have a basset who is the worst creature I have ever worked with but all the same she is mine and I am hers. Be patient and don’t show your frustration because if you do they will play you more. Don’t give up if you show her love but keep up your goal things will work out.
