Son is 2 years old he can say only 4/5 words

my little brother is 8 years old. he cant talk yet, but that because he’s down-sindrom. so the situation is different. but im sure your son can hear you. hes probably just doing something. like building something lol.

sit him down and say “so do you like spongebob?” or w.e cartoon he likes. hell probably shake his head or something.

get him checked for autisim.my friends lil boy did that to.

You shoudl consider the possibility of autism, or him having an autism spectrum disorder. It is very common, and getting treatment early is ver important. I reccomend you do some research on it, and then ask his doctor about getting him tested.

go to your doctor because I know this kid whos 4 years old and can bairly talk and ma little brother started talking at the age of 1 and spoke perfectly at the age of 2 so yeah talk to your doctor to see wats up

This is something you need to talk to your doctor about. There could be several reaon’s why he is developing later than other children, but only your doctor could give you a proper diagnoses. You should definatly speak to a doctor though because most children by the age of 2 can say 20-50 words.

There could be several things I can think of: -Some children are just naturally quiet, they don’t talk much -Communication Disorders. -Hearing problems - get his ears checked out

He is probably slow. Maybe he cannot hear.

Take him to his pediatrician. He’s behind.

Teach him animal sounds first then start talking to him more often and go to your docter he may just be shy or is death, talk to him about how he needs to talk do repeats after me and some games it will be helpful for sure I did it with my son he could not talk when he was 3 I tried this and it worked the best thing to do is take him to a docter cartoons may not work that well animal sounds will really work it did with my son try it
