get your son to have a hearing test, my best friend was half deaf and couldnt talk till she was like 4 so it might be something to do with the hearing.

Get his hearing tested - it’s possible he can’t hear well.

Some children just develop slower…getting angry won’t fix anything.

Every baby is different! Have you taken him to his pediatrician? What does his pediatrician say? He may need a hearing test, or more attention from you. Try using smaller phrases with him. Talk to him all of the time. He may be overwhelmed, or maybe he finds that he has his needs met without speaking. Does he not speak AT ALL? Or is it just hard to understand, or does he just use little words/phrases? It’s fairly normal for a 2 year old to not speak much- ESPECIALLY little boys. If his doctor says he’s healthy, he probably is. Don’t be angry with him- he’s a baby. Everyone grows at different rates. He needs patience and attention just like every other baby.

My brothers were nonverbal when they were two. They are also both autistic. They’ve both have come a long way and are now fuctional. You should really get him tested for Autism and get his hearing checked.

My niece was the same way…her parents took her to a speech therapist and the therapist worked with her. After awhile she started talking. It could be because he can’t hear or he could just be developing slower…if that’s the case then it’s really nothing to worry about since every child develops at a different rate.
