Uhhh… not exactly… you’re describing an ‘’Agnostic Thiest’’ or maybe a ‘’Empirical Agnostic’’

Answer #2

I’m pretty sure ‘gnost’ means ‘to gain knowledge’ or more simply ‘to know’ …while ‘gnosis’ is the word for ‘knowledge’ itself.

If you want to know more about Agnosticism, There is a decent explanation, history, and some of the common types listed here:

Answer #3

Agnostic is more of a slang term.

Uhhh… no… its an actual standpoint (Thomas Henry Huxley); which views the existence and non-existence of God, deities, etc. as unknowable. The ‘unknowable’ or ‘no knowledge’ (knowledge = gnosis [Greek]) is where the ‘agnostic’ term comes from.

Answer #4

My dictionary defines the word ‘agnostic’ like this: A person who believes that nothing is known or can be known of the existence or nature of God or of anything beyond material phenomena; a person who claims neither faith nor disbelief in God.

If I would put figures on my own views, than I could be about 5 percent agnostic and 95 percent atheistic.
