Age of Universe

I have not a clue what Pentecostalists believe.I sure know that archeologists, evolutionists and scientists who can logically explain the real EVIDENCE supporting their theories make a lot more sense to me than the really pathetic mumbo jumbo of the fundametalist creationists.God made heaven and earth in six days and rested the seventh ? Did he keep a diary? There were not any humans around to record it -Adam and Eve had not yet been created even according to the Bible. Is carbon dating a fallacy?What are these dinosaur fossils ? Funny the Bible does not mention there being any problems with them in the Garden of Eden. Maybe Adam kept them as pets ? Leogee

I asked my fundamentalist boss this question.

I asked him if he believed the universe was created 4004 BC. He said he didn’t know the exact date but he was sure the universe was thousands of years old rather than billions.

…one time, I added up (for fun) the age of the various characters in the old testament before Jesus. Now the year length was different back then (they didn’t have leap year, etc, nor the gregorian calendar) however, when you add it up there was about 10K years give or take, SO, the common logic says “you don’t know how long god rested” for in Genesis after he made the Earth, which means the two theories aren’t mutually exclusive. :)
