Adoption!

Okay so I was at the SPCA of Wake County playing with a dog that had just woke up~we had been waiting 4 it 2 wake up 4 2 hours. I was already to call my Dad get the adoption form and fill it in when a lady who had been looking for the exact same breed the dog was. She asked a volunteer if we were interested and the volunteer said yes. So the lady went up to the front desk and adopted the dog right in front of us!! I got my heart broken. What can I do to get over it cause that was my dream dog?!

answer to your message. I would take it as this match was not ment for you and your dog is coming. you just have not found eachother yet, just think that dog was saved and now you can save another one. Keep searching it will happen for you.

You don’t know if that was your dream dog.. it may have had underlying behavioural issues… or anything… you only saw it for two hours… most animals I see I love and want to take home, but that doesn’t mean that they are the most suitable dog.

And you have already said that your Dad won’t let you have a dog… so… it wouldn’t have mattered if the lady had adopted the dog or not.

I would see if maybe the dog returns, not all adoptions work out, Or take it as a sign that it was not a good match, and I really think the spca should have waited for you to decide on what you were going to do, sounds like they were in the wrong
