Yes or no, and why?
no, because its a waste of time and plus u know how kids are. i member these boys used to bring there i pods, i pads, cell phones and lap tops to show other guys p@rn..grls on the other hand were to busy uploading pix, on facebook.. i am sure there will be time where they can do all that stuff . I used to like how it was whn i was in elementary school no computers till 8th grade then we would go to the computer lap and only use, Microsoft word, spread sheet, power point, learn how to type fast and if u try to go to other sites that aren't allowed our teacher gets an alert. he has his computer monitoring all 30 computers so whatever we do he can see us on his screen and even if he isn't looking pretty much everything is blocked!
I don't think so because it's not the type of technology a student has access to that makes them perform better/receive better education, but the student's will to learn.
Schools like mine allowed laptops in class, but often times they were confiscated or told to be turned off because the student was doing other things on it instead of using it as a helpful tool. It's kind of like letting kids use phones in class, sure phones give you access to calculators and different educational apps, but who would really do that when they can text their friends?
I think schools should allow mobile devices because if you have something very important to talk to your mum about like your in school it's lunchtime and you decide to use the restroom and u started your period unexpectedly and there's no absorbant tissue or u forgot to bring a pad and it start leaking and dripping and your clothes are ruined with cellphones in school u could have called your mum and she could have brought one for u .
I'm going to say no. While there are ways in which mobile devices can be used educationally, in most cases children would not use them in the way allowed or intended should they have the chance. Having teachers keep an eye on all kids using these devices would more then likely be more trouble than it's worth. Due to misuse, it would probably end up being disallowed again in the future anyhow.
it would be hard to ensure all of the kids have equal access to these devices. Even if they did, I would say that kids should only use them in some instances. You cannot just google answers for every question on a test, that would be cheating. Sometimes we have to use our brains. :)
