Do you think its wrong to have a baby shower for your second child?

Traditionally, baby showers are held for the first pregnancy to help give you a head start on what you need for the baby - it’s implied that you still have all you need by the time the second comes around; however, there is no set rule that you can only have one. Many people view the baby shower as a time of celebration and preparation for the new baby, whether it’s your first or your seventh. The truth is, even though you have a lot of baby stuff left over from baby #1, doesn’t mean you won’t be needing to replenish your supply. Let your friend give you the shower…it seems to be important to her, and it sounds like you have a pretty devoted friend :)

my parents had a baby shower for all three of my younger siblings, but asked only for things such as diapers and coupons for baby items. i believe that each time a women is pregnant, she should have one, to allow all to appreciate their friends/families soon to be child.

I thought that you had one for every baby. At least here we have, I see nothing wrong with it.

NOT AT ALL! Baby showers are not just to get stuff you need for the baby. It is celebrating the fact that you are going to bring a miracle into the world! You can have a baby shower even if you were having your 19th child!

I don’t think it’s wrong at all.. Everyone I have ever known has had a baby shower for all of their kids. I think it would be fun for you to hang out with everybody. And I hope my friends are like yours. :)

Most people now have baby showers for each child. although it used to be only for the first child.

I know people that have a baby shower for each of their children. It’s not wrong! I think you should have a baby shower, I think it would be a great celebration…and you will get extra things you may need. Diapers, clothes, bottles, bibs, toys…etc…

No. But after the forth or fifth child, one may start to look a bit greedy if not just a little narcissistic.

It doesn’t have to be all about getting baby-supplies, just think of it as a gathering of all your closest family and friends celebrating the soon arrival of your beautiful baby! You will be filled with a room of love, people who love you and baby and will do whatever you need/want to help you through this time. You’ll get baby stuff so that you don’t have to spend your own money on these things. You can start saving a college fund for baby with the money you would have used on a few things! I think it’s a great idea. You could even just say ‘no presents, I have everything I need, but bring some cookies or sandwiches instead!’ It’s a celebration of looooveee! haha

i dont think that its wrong at all. i think that anyone else will think it is wrong either because its a good way to get friends together! :)

No! It doesnt have to be about getting things for the baby, it can just be fun of it, and to celebrate your baby with your friends and family
