Writing A Song

So, I Like…SERIOUSLY Wanna Be A Musician. Really Really Bad. But I Can’t Write Music To Save My Life. And People Are Always Talking About “Inspiration” But I Don’t Really Have One… Can Any Of You Guys Help Me Remove My Perminant Writer’s Block? D:

Answer #1

find a beat you like, start like talking gibberish to go with the beat then mix in some words then eventually you have a song but then you change some of those words so they make sense I’ve done it. or you could write a poem but that might not work considering you have writers block.

Answer #2

Is there anything surrounding you that angers you? Inspiration doesn’t always need to come from yourself, are there any books with a particular message you like? Anyone you know who has been through something strong or dramatic? Music doesn’t always have to be expressive or emotional, it can be observational and sympathetic too. As for the musical side of things, start by putting it to a tune you like, and then see if you can play around with that tune, changing some of the notes, the tempo etc

Answer #3

follow your emotions. dont stop your dreams just because you think your not good enough your mistakes is what makes you best. :D I thought that myself when it came to writing poetry but my worst poems came out to be most like by my friends.

Answer #4

Write a song about something you feel strongly about. Next time you get really angry or sad or happy or w/e, just sit down and write out all the thoughts in your head on a piece of paper. Just make a list or something. Then grab a thesaurus and put some of these thoughts together and switch up some words if you need to, because you don’t want a song written with a 5-year-old’s vocabulary.(don’t get too carried away, though..) Anyway, if you can sing and play an instrument, than you’re set. It’s a lot easier to write a song on an instrument than it is to write the lyrics to a song.

Answer #5

Learn to play an instrument and learn theory!! You won’t have writers block anymore but it takes a years to master your instrument.
