Worried about my psychological health

Today I was watching this show called Skinny Me and its about two journalist who crash diet to become size 00, and one of them ended up with an ED.

Lately, I think I might have a real problem… I don’t eat more than 850 calories a day, and most of the time, not even that much. I exercise to the point where my deficit of caloric intake is 1,750 or more. meaning, I exercise around four times daily. & if I over eat, I feel like such crap, like ill make myself double the deficit of whatever many calories I ate. say I ate, 1,300 on a binge. I’d force myself to burn ATLEAST 2,600 if not more, just to feel like I made it okay.

So…where does that leave me ?

“How can I Lose 1 pound of body weight per week?”

One pound of body fat is equal to about 3500 calories. So to lose 1 pound of weight per week, you need to eat 500 calories/day LESS than you burn.

But it’s not a good idea to lose weight simply by cutting calories. As well as decreasing calories you should increase your daily physical exercise. This helps to burn calories and build more lean tissue which in turn burns more calories.

“What should a minimum calorie intake be?”

As a guide to minimum calorie intake, the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM) recommends that calorie levels never drop below 1200 calories per day for women or 1800 calories per day for men. Even these calorie levels are quite low.

In pretty crappy health. Your body is eventually going to shut down down and you will end up in the hospital. In the hospital they make you eat. You have a disorder that you need to get control of. Who cares about being skinny. If it’s going to effect your health, your life, then skinny doesn’t matter.

Answer #4

you have an eating disorder. the shear fact that your paying such close attention to what you eat and exercise indicates that.

the question is, what do you want to do about it. you need to admit a problem honestly and openly to your family before you can progress.

your picture is beutiful, you have no need to loose weight, but then, you probably won’t believe that.

when did it start? was it a concious decision to loose weight that got out of control? or was it something else? often eating disorders are people trying to control some lement of their life, but ultimately they loose control of their eating, through having too much control - bit of a paradox isn’t it?
