ok so this whole war thing with isreal and pakastan well im concerned that too many countries will get involved and the u.s. will be bombed
As I said in the other post, it’s important to understand there are two separate conflicts. There is India and Pakistan, and there is Israel and Hamas, in Palestine.
It would not surprise me at all if India and Pakistan go to war. The two countries have fought four wars since they became independent. This time, the problem is that Pakistan’s intelligence service has lost control of the paramilitary groups it once trained and funded, and which are now operating inside Indian territory. India is rapidly losing patience with Pakistan’s failure to reign these groups in, and with the breakdown in Pakistan’s military leadership. But Pakistan really isn’t prepared for a war with India at all, and is probably hoping the US will try to restrain India from doing anything aggressive. Such a war could very well cause a civil war or some type of collapse in Pakistan.
As for Israel and the Palestinian group Hamas, it’s basically the end of a short cease-fire. Tensions between Israel and Hamas flare up all the time, and it’s always the same: Israel accuses Hamas of smuggling weapons and launching rockets against its territory, while Hamas accuses Israel of failing to lift blockades and denying emergency care to Palestinians. The world reaction is always the same: trying to bring the two sides back to the peace table.
I don’t think the US will be involved military in either war, but more of a diplomatic role. The US will be called upon to restrain Israel, while also attempting to mediate for India and Pakistan, although in recent years US-Indian relations are much better than US-Pakistani relations.
* The only thing fun to watch is the number of people on this site who seem to think Israel and Pakistan are on the verge of war.
I wonder if our current President even knows the difference.
You cry for your nation.Me,being a Pakistani, weep for my countryfolk who are being killed by US missles on the border and for all the Muslims in Palestine being unfairly killed by those people from israel.YOUR country isnt all innocent and in trouble.OURS is being attacked by urs, too,u know.;-)///
Given our current level of deterrence, it’s highly doubtful it would be large-scale, of course terrorism is a threat to any free and open society - pray for our country.
Johnnyblood: I don’t think they US Government planned 9/11. Why would they, when it killed thousands of people?
The only thing fun to watch is the number of people on this site who seem to think Israel and Pakistan are on the verge of war. You do realize Palestine and Pakistan are two separate entities, right?
Actually this will be fun to watch, pakastan doesnt stand a chance. Isreal is going to beat the snot out of them, they will be too preoccupied with them to even consider fighting us. Israel does not need us.
I think that the fighting between those two countries will stay between those two countries, UNLESS our government tries to jump in and be the “savior” again. Them two countries have been pretty much at war with each other for a very long time, it is now just coming to a head. We are pretty much safe, thanks to our military. They are brave to protect us, and no matter what happens, they will protect us to the best of their ability.
I wonder if our current President even knows the difference
Good point. He doesn’t have a great track record with this stuff.
“The only thing I know about Slovakia is what I learned firsthand from your foreign minister, who came to Texas”
-George W. Bush, governor at the time, to a Slovak journalist who asked what he thought of Slovakia. Bush had actually met the foreign minister of Slovenia, not Slovakia.
Isreal and Palestine have been at war since 1948. This isn’t something new.
Whoops. Misread the question…nevermind.
