Will parents Curse fall on Children?

Hi, 1 person repented and confessed his sin. He was told that parents sin will follow down the generation.is it true? should he renouce such curses?

Answer #1

The bible is clear on this, and Jesus is the cure. When Jesus is accepted into a life, the cycle changes. Now, instead of being cursed, the family line begins to be blessed, and the blessings will show up in many generations afterward.

Answer #2

The ‘sins of the parents’ is a much-debated concept, and no one knows the answers (at least, not here on Earth).

However, if that person follows Christian teachings, then the answer is clear: Christianity teaches that, through sincere repentance, our sins can be forgiven and we can lead a new life.

As it says in the Gospel according to John: ‘I am come that you may have life, and have it more abundantly.’

Answer #3

NO NO NO NO that is not true you have your own life and jesus never said that not once in th bible I will pray

Answer #4

All are born into a sin nature - all have the opportunity to repent and be cleansed by the blood of Jesus Christ - up to each individual to either accept or reject the Savior, no riding the fence.

Answer #5

The belief used to be that the sins of the parents would follow the children the the seventh generation. Then Christ came, and died for the sins of all, effectively making the “sins of the father” have no effect on the children. Another way of looking at “sins of the father” is that if the father does something that has long lasting effects - say he goes partying with his wife, she gets drunk while pregnant and they have a child with FAS - in a situation like that, the parents sin is paid for by the child.

Answer #6

the blind man that Jesus healed and made to see…his parents where asked if he was their son and they said yes, people thought he was made blind for the sins of the parents, not true…he was born blind for God’s own purpose and teaching…to lead up to the point of Jesus healing him to show others who He was… Scripture says that the sins of the Father and mother do not fall on the child…we each are responsible for our own choices and actions…whatever beliefs were in the O.T changed when christ came and fullfilled the law by dying on the cross personally for each and every one of us and for those who choose to follow Him and do what is right…we are responsible for our own actions and our own sins …no one else is…BUT God/Jesus will wipe the slate clean and take those sins away like they never existed if we repent and ask Him to.
