Why is that when white people say this colored people get mad?

I totally agree with pretty much all of u. But ty how am I beyond ignorant? And I wasn’t whining. How bout next time you ask a question such as this I say stop whining. I said nothing about minorities. And quite frankly minorities such as blacks, and Hispanics in some schools do get helped more and some others get in trouble more. 2 years ago my ex and my bff screwed up the school bus. One got suspended. Guess witch one. My bff ciz our principal was racist against Hispanics. Last year my teacher would help the kids who were Hispanic and black and African American before she would help us. All my grades turned to D’s and F’s becaus I was new to the school and I didn’t know what was going on. I’m a straight A student this year because our teacher treats us equally. As for saying colored in sorry I’ll try not to use it anymore. Where did the prez come up in this. I got called racist against African Americans because I said I didn’t belive in what he did. This was before the ellection and me and my friend were talking about the pros and cons of both McCain and obama. Not in of the cons was because of either persons skin. But even though we didn’t say that me and my friend got call racist against African Americans. And I could care less what color anybody is. Or what race they are. It depends in the person. Now true others get treated harshly depending on their race and that’s wrong. But you sit there and tell me I’m ignorant… Just whatever I give.

Because that’s what white people called black people back in the day when they made them pick cotton and beat them also they called us that when we were still segragrated and that was a word to show that white people hated black people so we get really mad when someone says that

First of all, the word colored is not politically correct. Stop using it. What the hell does it mean any ways? Any one who is not white? There are plenty of races in this world who are not white. As for racism means you dont like other races, that is not an accurate description of the word racism. Racism is the belief that certain races are inherently superior and on an institutional level the differential treatment of people based on their races. You may not consider yourself racist, but you are beyond ignorant, as are a few others here.

First of all, the word was used to demean and insult a group of people who were enslaved. So no, it is not acceptable for you to use it. As for being called white, uhm that’s not an insulting term and is in no way the same, it’s just like calling someone black. No one has used it to demean an entire race of people. Now, back to why people can call themselves whatever the hell they please, because they have reclaimed the word. They gain power over it if they can reclaim it. That does not mean that the original intent has completely gone away, or an outsider can use it. Now, to your ignorance as to why being called the ‘n’ word is not even close to the same as whatever racial term you’re called. Get over it. You live in a world where white people control the majority of the finances, have political power, economic, media, and educational power, and access to most of the resources. Minorities (especially blacks and hispanics) are disproportionately arrested and in jail. People think the majority of poor are minorities on welfare, when truth is there are far more caucasian poor (number wise). But minorities get the bad rep. So you know what, quit whining. When you get singled out for extra security checks, when you have to worry about being pulled over by the cops, when you have to worry about being denied a job based on your skin color, then you may whine. Until then, realize that having a black president in the U.S. does not mean institutional racism has gone away, try to open your eyes to reality, and quit whining. Is it ok for people to be racist towards you, absolutely not. But in the grand scheme of things, it’s just words. The racism towards minorities impacts their lives.

Would a person who is not white get mad if you called your own race, (I assume your white) a racist name? Chances are, no.
For people of other nationality, aside from white, calling themselves the “N” word, they feel they can say that word because they are the nationality that the “N” word is directed at. Nobody should say derogatory names, anyways.

we all came from Adam and Eve. God gave our bodies the ability to adapt to our environment. The only race importance is for medical history due to the foods and environments the bulk of our ancestry are associated from and the effects they have on us. Other than that we are all linked to the same race which is human. Be respectful and don’t say things that will offend someone else.

I don’t say things that hurt others. I’m just. Curios why they can say it and b ok but they get mad when we do. And why are these words bad. They’re just words right. Yes they have so called meaning but meanings are also just words. Its all just rubbish some guy made up to make people mad! So why listen to that guy. He’s dead now.

I don’t know. People can just be weird. My friend, she has talked about how there are these black girls at her school who will sing a whole lot of like Beyonce songs. My friend just commented once to them that she didn’t like Beyonce with no intent on offending them or anything and they start calling her racist. Then also my friend has told me, these same kind of chicks will talk about white people in a racist way and she (my friend) had just pointed out to them once that color doesn’t mean anything and that everyone is equal and these girls start calling her racist. Does that make any sense? It’s really weird.

racism means that you dont like people of a different race to yur own,sum people just use this as an excuse,it sickens me,I have no problem with anyone calling me white!!I was in a taxi the other day and the taxi driver over charged me by 4 euro,I know he ripped me off because I take the exact same journey every friday and it always roughly the same price,so when I said it to him he called me a racist(he just happened to b black)im like what???I dont care what colour you r ,u are over charging me,I never get charged that price so to avoid an argument and to avoid being accused of being a racist I just paid him
