Why! Is it so hard for me to fall asleep?

So I usually go to bed around 10:30 or 11 pm, because I have to wake up around 6am but once I lie down I dont fall asleep until like 3am This happens almost every night. I went to the doctor to see if I should take medicine to fall asleep, they said not yet because I’ll have to take it for the rest of my life and im only 15, so they dont want to start me on that yet. Its really effecting my life. I cant wake up to go to school which is making my marks low. I need help!

Hey Megs, I have the same prob a lot. my rents got me one of these alarm clocks with nature sounds like rain and crikets and stuff, the noise stops after like 15 minutes. it works awsome for me. also I try to ride my bike or somethin phisical durin the day so im kinda wore out, but im hyper too. hpoe I helped

Well, I would like you to try to do some sort of sports, something that will get you tired and in real need of sleep. If that doesn’t work, then it might just be a psychological problem or worse.

it could be gillions of things. maybe a psychological problem or possibly just caffeine. sorry if this is next answer is awkward but it could and most likely is hormones. that might sound stupid, but judging by your pic (justin beiber) your probably around “that” age. dont drink soda or sugary stuff after like 7 also try getting ready for bed around an hour or two before actually trying to sleep and get rid of homework asap.

Maybe, you should taking medication called “Unison”. You can get it at wal-mart, and its not a lot of money. I take it too because I have the same problem. If you decide to get it, take it about an hour before you go to sleep. It isn’t strong, but it does help. If it doesn’t then try talking to your parents again. :]
