Why has my attitude towards my parents changed?

I used to never tell my parents I hate them. Now I do all the time. I always feel bad after I say it because I know I had hurt their feelings… My friends think it might have to do with some recent experiences that I have been through… But im not sure. Please, if you know what can be wrong, help me.

If you’re still a teenager, then it might be the way you’re perceiving things and changing of opinions and the way you think. That happens to a lot of teenagers. For instance, any advice your parents give you, you might start to think of it as a lecture rather than advice that you would have been greatful for receiving when you were younger. Don’t forget that your parents have raised you all your life so any advicethey give you is a good thing because that’s their job. At the same time, it’s understandable that if you’re leaning towards developing into an adult, that you want to be more independant, which is a good thing too. Just make sure you take it one step at a time. Try not to be too independant because you don’t just become a fully mature grown adult overnight. Responsibility comes slowly as you grow.

Teenagers are usually at odds with parents…if it makes you feel bad…and you KNOW it hurts them…then why not just zip the lips?? You don’t have to express every feeling, at the expense of others, ya know.
