why dont our parents trust us?

k so..I asked my mom if my sister and I could take our dog for a walk and she said sure… didnt ask where we were going or when we would be back…and next thing you know as we were walking our dog through our neighborhood. we see a car that looks like ours and it pulls over and it ends up being our mom checking up on us..now taking that we both are 17 I think we should b able to be trusted.

me nor my sister have given her a reason not to trust us..so im just curious as if to why doesnt my mom really truelly trust us? parents that have worse kids trust their kids more than my mom trusts me and my sister( and we are both trustable girls)

please help…why do you think she doesnt trust us?

Answer #1

she just wants you to be safe and its hard for her to accept that your growing up

Answer #2

its not so much that she doesnt trust you she probably doesnt trust other people as your mum, she loves and cares about you if anything were yto happen to you she would be devestated so by checking up on you shes probably just making sure your okay, not in any danger, and not talking to random people

Answer #3

well my mom is da same way. she only checks up on me because she just wants to make sure that im okay. now kids that have parents that dont care, thats why their bad. now our moms only do this cause they care about us

Answer #4

Their afraid that we will get into trouble

Answer #5

I well know that the oment they give you the chance your gonna do something not trustworthy so thats why they dont

Answer #6

I don’t know why, because my parents are the same way when it comes down to when I buy my own stuff. At first they say that it’s my money and I can spend it on what I want but when I buy it I get in trouble

Answer #7

She pulled up in a car to stalk you while you walked the dog…?

That just seems bizarre…yeah, I’m all for parents who want to watch their kids to make sure they’re fine and all, but there’s a line.

If I were you, I don’t know how I’d be able to go out anywhere without worrying if I was being watched.
