He does not do this to anyone else. And he does it in a jokey/regular way I.e. it isn't to reprimand me or anything. He only does this to me. It isn't because my first name is difficult to pronounce or anything. He simply one day started calling me Miss___ Any ideas why? I quite like it, no other teacher has ever called me that before, not on a regular basis, but why won't he do this to anyone else? I feel singled out.
maybe he cant be bothered to say your first name - is it long? my maths teacher likes to call evry1 in ma maths class by ther last name, like he'll throw our books to us and shout our names before he throws them. e.g he'll give me mine but before that he'll shout "Armitage!" instead of "Natalie!" I know its wierd right?
to avrilfan13, if he did this to everyone in our class, I wouldnt have been asking this question. it is just to me. and he used to use my first name, at the beginning of the year, then just eventually changed. he says it in a jokey manner though, but just confused as to why bother? thanks for your answer though
He does it to form a bond with you and to make you feel like an individual. I think that it's just his way of being ironic, since most teachers have the Ms/Mr/Mrs. in front of their surname, so he's doing it to you to make you feel somewhat special/respected. Teachers have their tactics.
