Why does my mom hate me so much, and how can I make her stop?

she always gives me dirty looks and whenever I talk, she tells me to shut the f* up. she also told me if I keep dressing “emo” shes sending me to a catholic school. she thinks that you need to dress like her, and she looks down on anyone who doesnt.. she doesnt approve that I want to be a actress/model/singer/artist… she thinks I need a practical job.. and she apparently thinks people cant express themselfs through their clothes.. what do I do?? she drives me insane!

parents can’t hate their children. specially a mother cant hate her childen at all.. itz impossible. so on’t use that word hate again … dis is something to do with undesrstanding … so give your mother some time .. or try explaning things to her slowly … don’t argue or be rude to your mother . just ask her why she doesn’t want you to be the way you want… talking to her and explaining things to her should help you out to solve things between you and your mom… .. don’t think that she hates you …

love thilzzz good luck

Answer #2

Your mom probably hates the idea of emo because she thinks it from the devil. its not. explain to her its not, try telling her of some emo bands that sing religious songs. My mom is the same way, but she still doesnt like it. At least she understands and doesnt judge me harsh. :) Most parents don’t like their kids to be different but to blend into society. Good luck.

I don’t think she hates you. Hate is a strong word, and you can only hate what you don’t understand. Perhaps she doesn’t understand you. Have you talked to her about it? Help her see what you feel, I’m sure she’ll come around, after all, she is your mother… =] Good luck!
