You have to get you ear piece in discovery mode. This differs from piece to piece. You’ll have to read the instructions to find out. With mine you have to hold the power button from the power off mode until the light is steady. Then activate bluetooth on your BB, select add device from the menu, and hit search. If your piece is working properly you should see a download bar that says “1 found”. It will ask for a code. For most brand new ear piece its “0000”. Then it will ask if you want to connect. There will be a check box that says “don’t ask aging” if you check this then you can connect as soon as you turn on the piece as long as you bluetooth is on in your BB without that box popping up. If that doesn’t work then you piece maybe defective. Note: leaving you BL in your phone takes more battery power. I would suggest turning it off when you know your not going to use it. Funmail me if you need more info.

For other phones they must be in discover mode as well. The same applies. Search for the other phone while its in discover mode. If the other person hasn’t set a code its probable “0000”.
