Some do, yes, but I also know black people who try to act white. It works both ways.

I think it is because they don’t know who they are. so any group or sterotype that is around they will try to fit in. They need to figure it out and learn how to be themselves and people will except them without them having to put in so much effort, Your question is like asking Why are people guy? Why do people dress in goth, or a skater or a punker, or biker, get my point, you are who you are and you choose who you want to be, but don’t be fake

stephanie is right there also black people who try to act white many different people from many different countries all try to act like someone else it happens everywere not just with white people some times it could be just to look/sound/act cool …as part of a lable or sterotype white people might want to be part of a gang and act black, thinking its “badass” they could just like black people more they might want to be black, ect theres many different reasons but theres no one reason for why everyone does it they all have there own reasons

Hunterskates, you and others who ask such questions fail to recognize the wasted energy you expel concerning people of different colors. It’s great that our creator God placed it in the spirit of Michael Jackson in the lyrics of one of his songs I.e. “Dangerous”, where he sings “ I’m not going to spend My life being a color.” Color does not make a person, good character does. Concentrate on the credible things life has to offer.
