Why do I keep getting random hiccups?

So I keep random hiccups. Just one, and they are really loud. I get them every single day and now my friends laugh about it. I don’t even feel them coming, well sometimes I do and sometimes it hurts. I’ve tried drinking water and holding my breath but I just can’t control these darn hiccups. They aren’t normal hiccups if you get what I mean, it’s just one loud hiccup. It’s really irritating. I get one hiccup around 15-ish times per day. What is this? I’ve booked an appointment at the doctors but I think he’ll just shrug this off. Do I have a mild form of tourettes or something like that? What should I do?

I doubt it ! I get that sometimes to.. mind you it doesn’t happen every day lol , I’d say thats so annoying… its usually after I eat or drink something, to fast or talk for a really long time without taking a breath lol… I doubt your doc would shrug it off … just tell him how much it bothers you…and he mite be able to do something for ye ! Xo:)

A teaspoon of vinegar (it’s not really as bad as it sounds)…it will clear the hiccups up real quick. Do see the doctor though, perhaps you have a spastic diaphragm.

I’ve tried googling this stuff up, I haven’t been to the doctors about it yet even though it’s been 6 months since I wrote this but i’m getting more and more hiccups as time goes by. It’s went from roughly 15 to roughly 50-70 per day. I’ll try the vinegar thing but on the forums i’ve read online, peolpe had had them for years, went to the doctors and they don’t know what they can do about it. I’ll go to the doctors. Thanks for the tip!
