Why do I feel so attached to my teacher?

Why am I so attached to my teacher? What do I feel the need to tell her everything, and want to be near her? Like a mother

Answer #1

I think I can relate to this question. I’ve been there done that in elementary school.

The reason I think that you are so attached to your teacher is because she is like a mentor to you, and, if you tell her everything which you state in your question, its perfectly normal but, don’t get too close before it starts turning ugly so, try to have a spiritual friendship with her. She may be like a mother and that’s fine, but, you don’t want to create trouble.

I can tell you, I was so attached to one of my teachers in fifth grade and she happened to be my science teacher and I would tell her things and I was like you, attached until it started getting ugly.

Then, in sixth grade, I was attached to my computer teacher until I moved to another school during my junior High years. Then during High school I completely stopped and I don’t do that anymore. I do have to admit that I look up to my Branch President of my LDS church and that’s allot different then teachers in school. I’m the same way when it comes to telling him almost everything. I only love him as a friend in Christ. He has a sweet wife and, I wouldn’t start trouble for myself.

This is normal to be attached to someone like your teacher and, in time, you’ll get over that. Don’t worry, I’m sure you need a mentor and counselor. (And, I think that your teacher is more like a counselor when you tell her things). At least you have someone to look up too.

That’s a good thing. Cus some teachers are just cool like that. You’re lucky

Answer #3

I’m in the exact same position right now. My English teacher is like the most amazing person ever and I always have to tell her what happens every day, because she just sits there and listens. It’s perfect because she ALWAYS wants to listen, and she’s like the nicest person I’ve ever met, I can’t recall a time since like 5 months ago when I met her that she was mean to me, she never has been. But I’m so glad I met her this year because she’s always there for me and thanks to her I don’t feel like crap every day.

Answer #9

I had a teacher like that in 8th grade. she’s was like my best friend. and that was 2 years ago and I still talk to her and tell her everything. I thinks its good to have a teacher that you can connect with and be cool with.

Answer #10

because your teachers a pedo

Answer #11

OMG I have a bunch of teachers like that!

It’s always good to have a relationship with that teacher. They will always help you with anything that CAN help.

I thought my parents were going to divorce, so I talked to my french teacher about it. She gave me a hug, patted my face with a tissue, and said “It’s never going to be your fault. It’s just timing!”

That’s why I LOVE my french teacher! not like LOVE LOVE… like a mom way!

This means you have a teacher who cares for your grades, AND your life!

Teachers are people just like everyone else, you probably just feel she is a nice person you can trust, and she gives good advice. It’s not a bad thing to have a connection to a teacher like that. Also, its probably easier to talk to someone who is a strong female figure in your life like a mother but that isnt your mother because you dont have that fear of getting in trouble for what you say..you can be more open and honest about things.

Answer #15

it depend’s on her? if she is a nice person and want’s to be like a mother to you
