Why do I feel so nervous before doing anything at all?

I know this sounds weird, but before I do anything, I freeze up like crazy and get so nervous that it’s so hard to say something. Even if it’s something ats small as giving a class presentation in front of 13 people. I feel like if I dont do everything perfectly, it’s all gonna go wrong! What should I do? How do I not get nervous? (I tried taking risks but it didn’t help either)

You sound like you have anxiety disorder. I have a severe form of it- so I would know. This can destroy your life and make you afraid to do every little thing. You have to take control of it NOW if you want to be okay in the future.. xreply said breathing exercises can treat it. Wrong. It can help, but will not treat it. You should practise in the mirror affirmations. Like repeat to yourself, you are not afraid, you are bold, outgoing, ect. It sounds weird but if you keep doing it every morning or any time you will reprogram your brain! Think positive. Life is too short for you to care what other people think.

Learn a relaxation breathing technique. Breath deep and long through your nose, pushing your stomach out as you breath, moving your diaphram down and allow your lungs to expand fully (the more oxygen the better). Hold it for about three seconds and then SLOWLY let it out through your mouth. Do this seven times back to back, pacing yourself and focusing on NOT breathing in and out too quickly. You will soon feel yourself relaxing.

It is VERY likely that you have an anxiety disorder, which can be treated with this breathing technique. If you begin to experience even worse signs of anxiety, you may want to considering going to see your doctor.
