Why do Canadians act like Obama's there president?

thats ridiculess, no offence but im canadain as well, and I am very patriotic. we dont have a president, we have a prime minister, and his name is Steven Harper, he is the leader of the Conservative Party.

and canadians act like obamma is our president because they are deluded enough to think that they are practicaly amarican. there is a definative differance between canadians and amarican, however, and most of southern ontario is being infected by their inflance. its rather unfortunate realy, how southrn ontario can give up their pride and honnor so easily. and im fully aware that im going to be murdered for saying this stuff, but I dislike amarica very very much (almost to the point of hate)

however I must admit (grudgingly) that obomma as prez, in the states, is rather astounding. first black prez- atleast amarica can make one choice to the bettering of their country.

I love the US and I think Canada is great too. I am strongly against the idea of American Exceptionalism. There is a litany of things we have done that I disagree with but overall I’d have to say that the US does a lot of things right too.

Like all the empires that came before it, the US’s time in the Sun will fade. I’m sure the Babylonian, Persian, Greek, Roman, and British empires were just as arrogant when they were the most powerful in the world. Each thought their preeminence was ordained by God(s) and permanent and it was their duty to spread their way of life to the rest of the world.

In spite of all of this most would admit that the period of Pax Americana hasn’t been that bad for most of the west. We have meddled far too much in Latin America and the Middle East but we have avoided all-out war for half a century.

Right. Way to show off your ignorance. Canada does not have a president. Seriously, there are many ways to show off how little you know. You choose to engage in a debate about a subject you apparently know nothing about? I dont know, maybe your school decided you should know about the rest of the world. Too bad they forgot to teach you about your own country first.
