Why are they constantly trying to prove me wrong?

How come tons of people are trying to prove to me that God doesn’t exist? Why don’t they just get over themselves and let me believe what I believe?

Please don’t try to prove me wrong I just want to know why people don’t mind their own business?

Answer #1

I have this theory that this “rapture” “day of judgment”, is not a day that the whole world is going to end. The chances of a meteorite hitting the earth and blowing it up, or the sun exploding and burning us alive. All which are possible, but so is winning the lottery and getting stranding on an island after your plane crashes on your way back to America from Australia. This rapture is when you die, this is when this “judgment” comes, yes everyone will die, and therefore you will see this in your lifetime.

Whether or not God exist is a meaningless argument. No matter how strong your point is, you usually end up making yourself sound like an idiot. I enjoy religious arguments because I find them amusing and I love screwing with people who are so damn sure of themselves, fanatical atheist and fanatical Christians, they are all the same, Learn to view both sides of the spectrum.

Answer #2

I dont belive in all my religon says because everyone has ther opinions like I think god is more like a sprit of grate power not man nor woman but he/she can be whatever you want god to be but to me right naw religon is a bunch of non sence

Answer #3

They probably want you to change so that your normal like them. When I tell people that I believe in God they think im a freak but I dont care. Always believe no matter what people think! :-D

Answer #4

Satan already knows his fate - cast into the Lake of Fire - he wants to take as many with him as he can, while he can - the mass deciever is hard at work - it may be his day now but he knows the sun is setting ie: the SON returns to rule and reign, praise God…Take care !!

Answer #5

I don’t know why people just can’t let others beleive what they want I have friends a many religions/ I can agree with you that people should mind their own business and let others believe what they want

Answer #6

Christians from every generation over at least the past 1500 years have believed that the day of judgement will occur during their lifetime.

Still waiting though…

Answer #7

Im not religous at all and have never judged anyone for being so. If your faith is strong enough you dont have to worry about what people say about it.

Answer #8

* and the best ones win. Not always. . . . I’ve seen some pretty dumb conclusions on some online forums. . . .

Answer #9

Love hurts… Everything is winding down, the battle is getting hotter…

Stay rooted and grounded in the truth.

Don’t let anyone or anything persuade you.

Hold fast to what you have received.

Fight the good fight of faith.

To God be the Glory !!!

Answer #10

u sound like a very understanding person and I like people who don’t force things on others cause that is wrong well thats just my opinion, isn’t america about freedom of religion and opinions

Answer #11

I frequantly have people trying to prove to me that god is a fairy tale. I don’t mind at all but they do forget that the burden of proof is on the believer. So personaly I think that it should be trying to convince them. That is difficult though because those who don’t believe in god see things differently. For example, if you believe in god then when your cancer is cured, it was undenieably god. But if you don’t believe in god then when your as cancer is cured, it was undenieably medicine. It is because of this stubborn unbending nature that each side of the arguement constantly tries in vane to convince the other of their beliefs.

Answer #12

yeh 4 a thousand years people believe that the judgement day is going to happen in their lifetime even now, people still believe its going to happen in our lifetime, im one but it doesnt hurt anyone so what if I think its going 2 happen so what if im prepared even if its not going to happen I have nothing to lose right so why not? Those people are dead but who said their life is over? Death is just the beggining. Death is beaten.

Answer #13

As jaslovestoskate said she was also taking about generally most people tend to force their belief of god onto every athiest and non believer in the world…its the way we all see as well as the way you see it…unfortunatly people are Allowed to express there opinions so its not going to stop you just have to realise that to you he is real and stay with that…dont give up your faith or even question it, if somone says somethig to you like ‘god isnt real’ just dont listen have your own opinion…

Answer #14

…gasp…, rneal, are you suggesting people try to promote their own positions!?

oh the humanity!

To the OP, hey look, that’s what internet forums are all about - testing our positions by promoting them and seeing if any good counter arguments come forth. We share ideas, and the best ones win.

Answer #15

jazlovestoskate

Well I don’t force my relgion and anyone…

hollowtears

I have friends of many relgions too. We all talk about them and don’t get mad with eachother.. it’s fun to see what certain people think.. I just happen to of grown up a christian and a pastors granddaughter… it wasn’t forced on me I have always been free to make my own choices

Answer #16

because your side does it too.is also very often that christian and other people tell athiests and people who dont believe in god that he exists. yes you can believe in whatever you want but youc ant and never will please everyone. so dont try. just stay strong to your beliefs but know that therell always be people in the world who believe in god, and therell always be people who dont.

Answer #17

Ah! But the discussion about God is not about facts, it is about faith.

It is not easy to put across opposing views in such a discussion and when your next move is going to be check mate, the oposing side brings out their secret weapon…

…well, see, thats where you wouldn’t understand because thats where you need to have faith and you don’t have it.

Those without faith wish to discuss the question of God on a fact basis but the opposing side want to discuss it on a faith basis and as they say…never the twain shall meet!

Each to their own!

:)

Answer #18

So, all those not Christian are abnormal alyssa_me?

Is this what you are saying?

It is this blinkered view and discriminatory type of comment that annoys non christians so much.

You are not doing the christian faith any favours by using such derogatory language like this.

In my view, those types of comments are no different to racist or sexist comments.

Just accept that people have choices and one of these is the choice not to be a christian. This does not give you the right to make abusive comments about them.

Just expressing my opinion.

Answer #19

In short they seek to convert you. . . Yes I said Convert. . .

Answer #20

never forget “you war not against flesh and blood” EPHESIANS 6: 12 read it!!! JESUS is with you he sees what is happening.when people come at you just say “one day you will find out just how real he is either from heven or hell.” never argue or debate the truth…2+2=4 just as that is a fact GOD is holy, satan is evil and GOD is going to judge for the things you have been going through. REMEMBER JOB satan came after job because god said “HAVE YOU CONSIDERD MY SERVENT JOB” what that means is “MY JOB IS THE BOMB HE WON’T FAIL ME.” hang in there it happens at times because GOD is showing you off.

Answer #21
