why am I having 2 weekly periods and have a bad taste in my mouth?

I have been having light periods just under every 2 weeks for the past month and a half, I also have a bad taste in my mouth and it has been coming and going for the last month or so. This has happened before about a year ago without the bad taste but it only lasted for 1 month. I am sure im not pregnant although my fiance and I dont use anything as we would like a baby but we are just seeing how it goes. I done a pregnancy test just before christmas and it was negative. I am really starting to worry that there could be something wrong with me as I have never been pregnant and have not been on the pill for five years.

I would go to the doctor. They will be able to do a pregnancy test (it sounds like you could be pregnant if you have some spotting or ‘breakthrough bleeding’ as it can be know, and a strange taste in your mouth). These could be symptoms of something else though, so they will be able to find out. If you have been trying for a baby for a while with no success then a GP will be able to discuss your options with you. Fertility tests on both you and your partner can be done, and will just check nothing is amiss. If it is, then there are solutions an alternative ways you can conceive. The sooner you find out if there is a problem, the sooner you will be able to look into these options. There is a good chance nothing is wrong and nature is just taking it’s time, but a doctor will be able to give you the peace of mind and help you out if there are any problems with you.
