It is a harmless statement that compliments the girl and makes the insinuation that if he were younger, she would be worth his attention.

I think too many of you are hung up on the sexual pervasiveness that exists in our society and can no longer view a simple compliment for what it is.

My dad is almost 60, and he can compliment a young woman without being as inappropriate as to say “I wish I was younger”. It’s a matter of being respectful, and acting your age (which is clearly indicated by the use of the term ‘LOL’ in Amblessed’s comments above).

Biden said it about Obama back way before Obama got the nomination. He was mainly referring to the fact that Obama has little foreign policy experience, especially compared to himself. But since Obama chose him for VP, I’d say the ticket is balanced, and Biden is probably a lot happier.
