I’m still perplexed by this phrase concluding the satanic bible.

It’s enigmatic nature was intended by La Vey… so… what importance does it curry?
David Lee Roth sang “Yankee Rose” as tribute to the Statue of Liberty. Most people wouldn’t find a correlation there… but if you take into consideration secret society rhetoric and cabbalistic ritual magic… there may be some significance. The goddess/demoness Libertas is personified by Eiffel’s Liberty. In cabbalistic magic demons can be evoked through symbolism and contained. If a demon is controlled its power can also be contained… at least symbolically. Is this some hidden hierarchy’s way of telling America that our freedoms are subject to their discretion… in an “Eyes Wide Shut” type secret society that plays upon our darkest fears to maintain power?

Perhaps… if not it is fun speculating.

I don’t have any sort of appraisal for either bible. Simply because these words imprinted on it are solely by man and have no such proof they came from god, even if they did come from god things become translated and such words were changed and therefore lose there true meaning. From what I know though, the satanic bible doesn’t follow the Christian concept of Satan. It might have a different perspective about god himself/herself. Other than that though I don’t think I’d want to read it to much.

I haven’t, but when it comes down to believing, I’d go with the free masonic point of view which I got from my dad… you ARE the devil and gad at the same time and I added, what feels right? Haha, tell me not?!

I’ve read a little bit of it. I wasn’t very impressed, so I quit reading. It comes across to me as pop-philosophy to which very little thought has been given.

I sat down and skimmed through the entire thing once, quite some time ago. Sure, it has it’s valued points, as does everything else, but it just didn’t quite sit right with me. I think the biggest turn off was the chapter on magic and rituals and such at the end of the book. That’s just not something I generally go for.

honestly, I would tell you to read Satan Speaks by Anton Levey. I havent read all of it, but if you have an open mind and some free time its very interesting to hear this man’s opinions and views. He is a very respectable man, with thought out and backed up opinions.

well I am a wiccan and I have been accused of worshipping Satan, but we wiccans dont. We are nature loving people who believe that life is full of magick and believe in helping others not ourselves. There are Gods and Goddesses in wicca, not only one higher being. I believe that Satan is only there if you believe him so and if you do then that is your desicion

yea. openmindedness would be my religion. such devotion to something like that I guess just kinda drives me away from it. its almost like an inverse popularity contest, seeing who loves Him the most. I don’t know. I live my life, you live yours.

What are your thoughts on satan he is the ultimate deciever. My dad had to read a verse from his bible when he was in high school, and what he said was it implies that you can do whatever feels good to you and that you dont mess with people unless they mess with you first. It encourages you to do your own thing, no matter what it is. Sounds ok… right? It isnt if your a sinner, guess that means all of us :(.
