When should a kid get a cell phone.

kids have brains that are developing, and radiation spreads into it more then an adult brain. I wouldnt let my kid have a cell phone, in a few years your going to see a bunch of people with brain cancer…

I think they should get one when they start playing sports so you know where they are I got mine in fith grade when I started doing sports so probably around age 10 at the least

I didn’t get my first cell phone till I was 12, but my brother got his at the same time when he was 9. I think it’s just whenever you feel it necesary that they’ll need it for emergencies and such and when they’re responsible enough to take care of it.

Well a kid should always have a cell phone no matter what age! I don’t even care if they are two! They need one because at my school two kids got kidnapped and they said before they did the person asked if they had cell phones and they said no so he toke them! They got back okay, but its not the first time, kids could actually get killed because of this! So, just get a firefly or another nerdy phone if your worried about a bill because those are mainly for emergancies. So if you love your kid get them a cell phone! DO NOT LISTEN TO ANYTHING OTHER THAN THIS, THIS IS A SERIOUS MANNER, ITS THREATING YOUR CHILD’S LIFE!

To be quite honest I would say wait until middle school but with all the things that are happening to little kids I think parent should get the cell phone for their kids that only call like three numbers like mom dad and other but I think fourth fifth grade is reasonable enough for a phone but only for limited access!

Well it’s sort of like when should your kid get the front door key. Six is to young ‘cause at that age they are practically always in adult supervision right? I’d say between 11-13 is when a child should be recieving their first phone. I got mine at 11.
